Guest Artist Attack! Nik Hylo @ Bold Statement

Hey everyone!

It’s been a busy weekend, as usual! The ladies have been tattooing, smiling, then tattooing some more. Currently it’s past noon and I’m still in pajama pants. I played a show in Streetsville last night and I am very sore this morning. It’s like someone took a sack of potatoes and beat the crap out of me, specifically my sides. It’s all in good fun. I was in the shop the other day and had some good hangouts with Laura and Shantelle. I haven’t seen Laura in a long time, so it was a good time.

Shantelle was all, “Burton! I have ideas for you!” You know how she is, always stoked on life.

What I really need to talk about  is the fact that we have a guest artist coming in for a couple days. He’s actually coming in on Tim’s first day. We’re happy to have Nik Hylo from Fire Vixen Tattoos in Invermere British Columbia at the shop. We’re really stoked to have him in, and I’m sure we will show him a good time. If you’re interested in getting tattooed by him, don’t hesitate to call the shop and book an appointment.

The neat thing about guest artists is that you’ll have a chance to get tattooed by someone that isn’t normally in this neck of the woods. It’s really quite awesome actually, people will ask you where you got your work done, and you could say it was from an artist in British Columbia!

Very, very, VERY nice. Really loving all these different pieces. All are really great. If those shots don’t get you excited, I just don’t know what will. Remember, he’ll be in on July 10, 11, and 12. So you really got to get in here quick and book time now! Tim will also be starting on the 10th and it’s pretty much going to be the most exciting day ever. Back In Action And Tim Being A Sweet Awesome Dude

Back in a big way!

Not really, I’m not all that exciting. I’m back working at Bold Statement, and not just being their resident blogger. I do things like help you pick out the right shirt,  give sweet awesome high fives and I just like hearing about the wonderful things going on in your life.

I had my first two shifts back this past Monday and Tuesday. Things have been running smoothly. Becca has been saving my butt when I can’t properly scan things, and Shantelle pinches my nipple whenever she gets the chance. I even talked to Shayne on the phone. Things are the same for the most part. It’s been really hot and my face has been melting off every second of the day.

But onto more important things! We have a very, very special announcement to make.

You can now book with one of our new tattooers Tim! We’d like to give a very special warm welcome to Tim, who will be working full time at Bold Statement. He’s a sweet dude, super sweet dude – and we welcome him with open arms. He likes things like pulled pork sandwiches, The Bronx, Instagram, and of course tattooing. You can come in and book time in with him right now! Get on in here!

He’s the nicest guy and is really, really excited to start working at Bold Statement. Let’s take a minute to appreciate the fine work he has done at Way Cool Tattoos in Oakville.

And then there is THIS back piece. Now that is a back piece! So far from what I’ve seen from Tim, I’d describe his work as gnarly. Maybe even gnarly as fuck. Excuse my language, I got excited.

But please, if you swing by the shop take a couple minutes to say hi to Tim and let him know that the blog said he’s gnarly, and you’re looking to book time with him. Call the shop, get time in, do it do it do it! We want his first week at the shop to be amazing!
